Announcing the AI Security Communication Competition
AI security represents the technical and governance practices that secure AI systems and models from external threats. It's incredibly important but many people still haven't heard about it.. that's why we need your help!
This competition is open to anyone who can effectively communicate the importance of AI security to a wider audience. Whether you have a technical background or a passion for storytelling, we encourage you to participate. We have two categories - students (full or part time) and open. If you want to learn more about AI security, go check out some of our other resources or The AI Security Podcast as a starting point, but we encourage you to consider the issue from your own unique point of view!
Winners will be announced at a special event at Microsoft Reactor in Sydney.

Competition closes: 16 March 2025 (anytime on Earth)
Winners announced at Microsoft Reactor: 16 April 2025 (with a virtual component)

What we're looking for
Submissions will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
✅ Clarity & Engagement – Can you explain AI security risks and solutions in an accessible and compelling way?
✅ Creativity – We welcome innovative storytelling, technical breakdowns, and unique perspectives.
✅ Impact – Your work should raise awareness, challenge assumptions, or propose meaningful solutions.
